I Have Cured My Type 2 Diabetes Naturally

My name is Lyndon Wissart

I have been a Professional Chef with more than 30 years of experience. I have worked in many high-profile hotels and restaurants throughout London, including the Savoy Hotel; in October 2015, my life changed. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes I was in the red zone, the danger zone with all the symptoms.

I was terrified. Somehow, I found the strength and willpower to deal with illness the best way I knew by changing my eating habits. At the end of the day, I am a chef by profession, so it was up to me to design my meals. My journey started in October 2015.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes mellitus, commonly referred to as diabetes, is a group of metabolic disorders with high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period.

Symptoms of high blood sugar include frequent urination, increased thirst, and hunger. If left untreated, diabetes can cause many complications. Find out more from the International Diabetes Foundation.

The IDF International Diabetes Atlas's latest edition shows that 537 million adults live with diabetes. According to current UK statistics, people from a BAME background have a greater chance of developing type 2 diabetes.

What are flavonoids?

Flavonoids are phytonutrients in plant-based food products that often contribute to the colour of the foods and in some fruits. They provide an antioxidant activity, which may play a significant role in cardiovascular health and may help to prevent diseases such as cancer caused by free-radical damage. They may also provide benefits in preventing other chronic conditions such as osteoporosis and diabetes. Certain plant-based food groups are much higher in flavonoids than others, including some fruits, vegetables, spices and grains.
